Menlo Park, CA -February 16, 2023. Confidencial announced today the appointment of Timothy J. Held to its Advisory Board.
Timothy J. Held is the Chief Information Security Officer and an Executive Vice President at U.S. Bank, where he leads a multidisciplinary information security team that operates 24/7 across the United States, Europe, and Asia. He’s served the company for more than 17 years, holding numerous leadership positions in information security, cyber defense, threat intelligence, incident response, fraud, and security infrastructure.

As technology evolves, so too should the tools and guidance we rely on in the financial services industry to protect our most sensitive assets and information,” Held said.
Held joins Confidencial as an advisor, bringing in more than 25 years of information technology experience, 23 of which focused on information security and risk management. He sits on six external committees related to the industry, including the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), Kohl’s Security Advisory Board, CyberOhio Security Advisory Board, National Technology Security Coalition (NTSC), Evanta and the American Transaction Processors Coalition (APTC) Cyber Council. Held earned a Master of Science in Information Security Management from Colorado Technical University, an NSA School of Excellence, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix. He attended Stanford University’s Advanced Computer Security Program, Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington and Wharton’s School of Business Leadership and Management Program. His diverse background blends rich leadership experience with deep business and technical acumen.
